Down to Earth ZINE

Recipes, Tips, and Ways To Share Our Planet

Down to Earth is a thoughtfully curated zine created for Earth Month. The zine inspires a deeper connection between food, sustainability, and everyday life. Featuring nourishing, low-waste recipes, regenerative sourcing stories, composting tips, and engaging family activities, the zine highlights how our choices can support a healthier planet.

This editorial piece blends storytelling, design, and photography to celebrate conscious consumerism in an informative and fun way. With recipes like Veggie Scrap Fried Rice and Carrot Peel Tacos, the zine turns sustainability into something approachable and delicious. Every page reflects Thrive Market's mission to make healthy, sustainable living easy and accessible for all.

The zine was printed on 100% recycled paper and produced by an in-house team of designers, writers, and photographers. It's an educational tool, part inspiration board and part cookbook, offering readers a seat at the table and a deeper relationship with the food system.

I spearheaded the project as Art Director, leading photography, selecting the visual language, and aligning all creative elements with Thrive Market's brand ethos. I developed the color palette and photo direction to reflect a grounded, natural aesthetic— balancing warmth and simplicity to make sustainability feel approachable and engaging.
